A Digital Symphony in Binary Minor
In: Drafting
12 May 2007I have always enjoyed designing things, such as cars, airplanes, foosball tables, ping-pong tables, leaning recumbents, CVT’s, etc. For that reason I decided to get an education in mechanical design at BCIT. On 1999 I graduated with honors from BCIT and I won the Design Award for that year as well. Soon after graduation I started to work as a junior draftsman for Raute, helping senior mechanical engineers detailing machinery in AutoCAD R14.
From 1999 to 2003 I created hundreds of manufacturing and sales drawings using AutoCAD. I also investigated the limited 3D modeling capabilities of the software and modeled thousands of parts that later became animated assemblies once imported into 3DS Studio MAX.
